Description
""The Big Fisherman"" is a historical fiction novel centered around Simon Peter, one of the twelve apostles. He is a large, strong man, who initially rejects the whisperings about Jesus. Though he had long denied religious teachings from his father, Simon is drawn to Jesus and feels changed when he meets him. When Jesus tells him to follow, he does.

In ""The Big Fisherman"" we intimately experience the story of Jesus and go with Him into the countryside where thousands follow to hear His teachings. We travel to Jerusalem where we see Peter deny knowing Jesus, but whose faith is restored when Jesus Christ is risen.

Following Christ's resurrection, Peter takes on the role of spreading the Word as far as Rome where he is ultimately imprisoned and put to death. ""The Big Fisherman"" is the prequel to ""The Robe.""
